What is LCC?

The Leuven Case Competition is a Belgium-based business game where students in teams of four are challenged to solve real-life business problems in the format of a competition. A case competition is a contest where you compete against other students to solve business cases. In a business case competition, you’ll be given a real life problem from a company, and pitch your solution to employees of this company. It’s a very educational experience and a perfect preparation for your professional career.

Why participate?

Challenge yourself

Step out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself to tackle real-life business problems. The LCC is a great learning opportunity to get insight into the way business is conducted.

Develop your skills

Participating in a case competition is a great way to develop new and build on old skills. Skills like problem solving, logical thinking, creative design, presenting, negotiating, persuasion etc will all come up in one form or another.

Expand your network

LCC is an ideal platform to meet new and like-minded people. Our best advice: you may be bitter rivals for one day, but you could be friends for a lifetime. Have fun!

The competition consists of

  • A national Selection Round in Antwerp, Brussels, Ghent or Leuven where all teams will solve one case
  • The Final Case Day in Leuven where the top 50 teams are challenged to solve 3 more cases.

All cases will be provided by our exclusive partners. After the presentation of the business problem by a high-end company, each team will have 2 hours to prepare a solution to tackle the proposed challenge. Afterwards, each team will have to pitch their solution in a short time frame to a jury consisting of employees from the company.

The goal is to solve the issue in a professional and structured manner in order to educate a decision maker and convince them to take action. Interdisciplinary collaboration is needed to think through all aspects of your solution. LCC is open to students in their third Bachelor or master of all disciplines, not only business students, and offers a perfect educational experience.
